Junkyard Beats

Case Study

High-energy, environmentally conscious body and junk percussion. Music and movement without the need for instruments. Learning for Good are the platform that make sharing these resources possible.

Junkyard Beats is Australia first junk percussion group. Their band of travelling performing artists inject energy, excitement, curiosity and creativity in their audience.

As well as running workshops for schools and events, they tour Australia and the world. Junkyard beats share educational resources with Learning for Good, for school and community group use. As a taste of their live shows, they allow everyone the opportunity to creatively recycle, craft their own instruments and learn about the environment.

With street savvy dance moves kids will love, the self-discovery of body percussion, and a spark to the imagination with junk percussion, children (and adults) will be thoroughly engaged from beginning to end.

Honestly, for me, this is a dream come true. I hope you all try this at school and at home!
